My Home page shows the video player but there's a spinning circle and no video loads.

The video player on your profile page is set to display only videos you have uploaded. Your uploaded videos are shown in the attached playlist.

If you haven't uploaded any videos yet, then there are none to display, and the Profile player just 'sits and spins'. Uploading a video will make everything look great.
