I produced this using a toonlet that I made a couple of years ago. (Toonlet is a really great place, maybe the most unique social site I've ever seen. I recommend it for hours of fun!)

Over at toonlet you create comic strips using characters you control. Everything on the site is done in the form of comic strips. It's extremely easy and addictive to make a quick strip. The one you see used here took maybe 30 minutes to create and publish back then, and the site has only gotten easier and better since then.

I downloaded the image of the toonlet and using a simple photo editor, I cropped each panel and saved each as a separate image. When I was done with that, I used Windows Movie Maker, which is standard on all Windows pc's (and free!), to create the video you see.

All the effects you see were created in the MovieMaker program. I probably could have spent a little more time and made it lots better, but the idea was to see what could be done. There was nothing hard about the process. I spent a total of 15 minutes, from start to finish, but your mileage may vary.

The music is from recordings of a band I played in back in the 70s and 80s, TORR. The artist featured here is Charles Pearson, playing the opening bars of 'Watch The Horizon', written originally by Randy Thaxton. The song is featured on the unavailable "Comp2" cd, mastered back in 1992 but released only in limited quantities..
